This is the 18th year that ASA has sponsored the CSRA All-Star Basketball Games. These games give middle and high school girls and boys the opportunity to showcase their talents and play with other top players from nearby middle schools and high school players from Georgia and South Carolina.

The CSRA All-Star Basketball Games are also an opportunity for the student athletes to showcase their skills in talent in front of college coaches in attendance who may offer scholarships to the participants. ASA also gives awards for the most outstanding players, slam dunk contest winners, three point shooting contest winners and Coach of the Year awards to outstanding middle school and junior varsity coaches at the conclusion of the games.

Augusta Sports in Action, Inc was founded in 1991 by Augusta, Georgia natives Gerald White and Michael Curry. The pair started the organization to help mentor youth in the area through organized sports and activities. Through ASA, White and Curry have been active in the Augusta area through the sponsorship of all sports camps, basketball camps, tutorial programs and holiday canned food and toy drives. Both really strive to give back to the community. One of their highest honors was being acknowledged by the city of Augusta and having the mayor proclaim Gerald White Day and Michael Curry Day.
